PhD in Economics, Law and Institutions
The aim of the program is to bring the students to the frontier of modern economic research and to provide adequate training for a successful career in academia, research centers and international institutions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the foundations of economic theory, quantitative methods, law and economics, environmental economics, and the economic analysis of institutions.
The PhD programme is articulated in the following research areas:
• Economics Theory and Institutions
• International Economics
• Environmental Economics and Law
• Law and Economics
The PhD in Economics, Law and Institutions has an excellent placement record: all students opting for the labour market have found paid full-time positions immediately after graduating (IMF, OECD, World bank, Bank of Italy among others). All students choosing PhD programme have found scholarship coverage and obtained either academic positions in International Universities and International Research Centers. Students have excellent publication records and their research output is regularly published in top international journals. Doctoral scholarships are about 1.200€ per month with a 50% increase for research stays abroad. The programme provides additional funding for conferences and summer schools.
